The child in me
never grew up.
I was born in Havana, Cuba, and came to the United States in 1980. English was my second language, but I always wanted to be a writer. For a long time, that dream stayed tucked away.
Then a children’s book I read with my son woke it up again. A vivid dream became The Escape Artist—and once I began, the stories kept coming.
God, family, painting, and a very active imagination are at the heart of my world. You’re warmly invited in.
